The Star armchair was designed in 2009 by Mats Theselius for Källemo. The design has its roots in Mats Theselius's interest in music and inspiration comes from the drum set. Star is made with a bent steel frame, steel edge, birch frame, and padded seat and back upholstered in leather or fabric.
Star was originally produced in a limited edition series of 360 pieces with the outside covered in mother-of-pearl. It was later taken up in continuous production but then upholstered in leather or fabric.
