NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC
MATS THESELIUS
The National Geographic cabinet was designed in 1991 by Mats Theselius for Källemo. According to Theselius, the aesthetics behind National Geographic are straightforward and clear, like a child drawing a window or a house – or like the furniture in Barbar by Jean de Brunhoff.
National Geographic is made with a base of solid beech or oak, and doors in glass with laser-engraved brass sign. The cabinet is available in yellow with a beech base, sized for 25 or 100 annual editions, or green with an oak base.
The cabinet is a tribute to the National Geographic magazine, evident in its characteristic yellow color and the fact that the cabinet is dimensioned for 25 years' worth of this iconic publication.
