Object ÉNIGME
2005 by Johan Linton
Material: Laser cut stainless steel. Leather straps.
Dimensions: h. 80 cm, w. 56 cm, d. 70 cm.
Énigme is an homage to the French philosopher Jacques Derrida
(1930-2004).
A construction of seven arches in stainless steel.
Among the references to the work of Jacques Derrida is the instrument
piano, harp, lyre? that he drew during his
collaboration with Peter Eisenman for Parc de la Villette; a concrete
form contributed to architecture.
Each of the seven arches has its own form and they can be composed
in different orders.
Each series constitute a construction of its own. |
